I came across an image with no link back of this project on Facebook this summer and knew it would be great for a beginning of the year starter project with the fifth graders. If you find the original source please let me know I’d love to link back!
This one is fairly simple. We started by drawing horizontal lines across using rulers and sharpies. The we filled the stripes with different line designs.
Students traced their hands on the the page using the sharpies as well.
Then we colored in only the hand areas using 4-6 colors in our color schemes.
