As we were preparing to leave for the Christmas break I needed a one day activity that would really catch the third graders attention. I came across this printmaking lesson of the Eiffel Tower on Cassie Stephen’s blog and loved it. I already had cardboard cut from a previous project and had paint poured from a Kindergarten lesson so it was even fully prepared!
We spent the whole 50 minutes printing our towers and following Cassie’s directions. Then for a few minutes the first day after the break they drew in some fireworks with chalk pastels before moving on to start the new assignment.
