I’ve been working on some fun but easy projects lately. Since I’m spending most of my time taking care of our newborn there isn’t too much time for anything too intensive. Instead I started some fun but simple paintings and crafts to keep my creative energy up during the babies naps. In addition to the pieces I completed for the Art Educators Exhibit, I also worked on a project for my son.
I made a Dino play-set for my son. He LOVES dinosaurs and when I saw this dinosaur small world on The Craft Train I knew it would be a hit. I also had the majority of the supplies. I only needed to pick up a box to make it. I also added a second handle by attaching a drawer pull I got at hobby lobby. The second handle keeps the lid up at a good angle and it is much more sturdy than the plastic one that came on the box.
