Welcome!
My name is Claire Simmons also known as Mrs. Art Teacher Lady when the kiddos can’t remember my name. I am a K-5 art teacher at A. C. Steere Elementary in Louisiana. I plan to use this website to keep people updated on the lessons, classroom management tips, and general excitement happening in the classroom.
Outside of the classroom I have a wonderful husband, and two children. My oldest is Benjamin, a third grade student at A.C. Steere. My daughter, Lily, is also at Steere, currently in the Pre-K Program. We have 1 dog, a blue heeler named Abby, and a Beta Fish named Red. Our favorite tv show to watch as a family is Bluey. I enjoy reading, especially book series. I like to create unique door hangers for my home as well as illustrate cartoon like versions of my friends and family.
