Fourth graders tackled a big paper mache project this year but had to work in small groups to complete it. While they were waiting their turn with the glue and newspaper they created these amazing versions of Paul Klee’s Cat and Bird independently.

Students used chalk pastels and had a blast experimenting with different blending techniques. The two most popular were using your fingers to rub the chalk in small circles making smooth even blends and using a tissue to blend creating light textured looks.

Make sure to visit our Artsonia page to see more of these and if you cannot find your students send me an email and I’ll resend you their Artsonia login. Student work is not visible to the public until a parent has logged in to Artsonia.
