I came across an image with no link back of this project on Facebook this summer and knew it would be great for a beginning of the year starter project with the fifth graders. If you find the original source please let me know I’d love to link back!<\/p>\n

This one is fairly simple. We started by drawing horizontal lines across using rulers and sharpies. The we filled the stripes with different line designs.<\/p>\n

Students traced their hands on the the page using the sharpies as well.<\/p>\n

Then we colored in only the hand areas using 4-6 colors in our color schemes.<\/p>\n
